About the event
Writing unfolds in conversation with the land—lava fields, wind, and sky—inviting reflection, listening, and creative risk rooted in place. Set in Waimea on the west side of Hawaiʻi Island, the retreat offers generative workshops, quiet writing time, and evening gatherings designed to deepen long-term projects and spark new work. Participants will learn alongside featured writers Allison Francis, Audrey Williams, and Kathryn Takara, with additional guest faculty to be announced. Shared accommodations at the Waiaka House foster conversation, collaboration, and a supportive creative atmosphere shaped by the land itself.

Reserve Your Spot Deposit
Reserve your space in the conference with a $50 deposit to be placed towards the total event attendance price. A code will be emailed to you to apply this deposit to your full ticket. This deposit is non-refundable. You must pay full event fee by May 1, 2026 to ensure your place.
